The Smash is based off a Gargantuar, being the Beastly/ Hearty hero. There are multiple other Gargantuars based on Gargantuars introduced earlier in the series, including Imp-Throwing Gargantuar (based off Gargantuar Pirate), Deep Sea Gargantuar, King of the Grill (based on Gargantuar's Summer Nights costume), Frankentuar (based on Gargantuar's Lawn of Doom costume), and Hippity Hop Gargantuar (based on Gargantuar's Springening costume).

His ability gives every zombie with the Gargantuar tribe, including himself, the Frenzy trait until all Smashing Gargantuars are destroyed. Appearing as a Premium Rare in the Gargantuar tribe, a tribe associated with Gargantuars, he costs 5 s and has 5 /5. Zombies Heroes, under the name of Smashing Gargantuar. Gargantuar makes a reappearance in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes Main article: Smashing Gargantuar Zombomb also uses Gargantuar's design, but simply deals damage by exploding. Rather than the wave being a singular boss with a special gimmick, two Gargantuars appear instead, with Browncoats, TV Heads, Foot Soldiers, and Engineers providing backup. In Garden Warfare, getting a Super Gargantuar wave has more Exploding Imps, Blitzers, and Soldier or All-Star variants than usual to assist the Gargantuars while in Battle for Neighborville, the elite Gargantuar wave is unique compared to other elite waves. In Battle for Neighborville, an attack that used to belong to Giga Gargantuar was added to their options, being able to shoot lightning out of the pole for a ranged attack. In the Garden Warfare games, their main method of attack is to swing their giant telephone pole, dealing heavy damage and knockback to Plants, as well as having a chance to fire Imp projectiles for less damage. In the shooter games, Gargantuar is a boss typically fought in Garden Ops. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Main article: Gargantuar (Boss) These are the Gargantuar Prime which fires lasers, crushes twices, and can be stunned by E.M.Peach, Sloth Gargantuar who fires 3 Imps rather than 1, and is immune to freezing, Hair Metal Gargantuar who can create a shockwave when under effect of their jam, and Jurassic Gargantuar which is tougher but slower than other Gargantuars. There used to be a bug in the Free mobile version where Giga-gargantuars were totally invincible, but this was eventually patched. The Giga-gargantuar has double the health of a Gargantuar, thus absorbing 6,000 DPS or four instant kills, but otherwise is the exact same.
